A game plan for getting out of credit card debt

Debt Cures provides a small piece on how to get out of debt but it puts a lot of the blame on the credit card companies and very little on ourselves.

That’s just like blaming the bartender for serving us too many drinks and causing us to get a DWI. The bartender is not the one who drove, just as the credit card company did not make you go deep into debt, they just made it easier. They are not the ones who said, “Charge It!”

You are not totally faultless for why you have so much credit card debt. But Debt Cures and Kevin Trudeau do not point that out. He wants to cast you as the victim and it’s the big bad credit card companies who are to blame. If you think that way, get his book.

However, if you want to take some responsibility and get out of debt on your own and make good on your mistakes, there is a book called “How to get out of debt, stay out of debt, and live prosperously,” by Jerrold Mundis. It is based on the proven principles of Debtors Anonymous.

With this book, you will get the whole picture of the getting out of debt pie while Debt Cures only gives you a slice.

With Mundis’ book, you will learn why you are in debt, how you get there, how to stop the bleeding, recognize you have a problem, how to fix it, and how to make sure it never happens again. Trudeau’s book only promises shortcuts. It does not promise to fix the underlying problems that got you into debt in the first place.
