When I was in high school ten years ago, it was practically unheard of for anyone my age to be using drugs. Sure, we had parties and almost everyone was guilty of underage drinking, but drugs were way too controversial for us. My town was smaller, but right outside of Philadelphia, so drugs weren’t complete unheard of - we just had better things to do. However, the same high school that I went to now has a substantial drug problem. I can’t tell you how many kids have been caught with dealing drugs or having possession of illegal drugs. Some parents are starting to give their kids drug tests at home in order to keep things under control. I can’t say why there is this sudden interest in this activity in my area, there just is. As crystal meth becomes more popular and is more affordable than other drugs, it has caused quite a stir in the small towns.

More and more employers across the nation are requiring drug tests be taken in order to finalize employment. I had been offered a wonderful job several years ago but told that it was contingent on whether or not I passed my drug test. Of course, I had no problem passing the drug tests, but my new company was very strict. Four years later, they still make new hires take drug tests. Many people will argue that employers should not care about or need to know about what someone does on their own time. They feel that if they aren’t engaging in any illegal activities while at work then why the need for drug tests? I can understand that to a certain degree. Yet, I certainly wouldn’t want to hire someone who has evidence of drug usage in their systems. I happen to know an individual who smokes pot every evening. He has never done it outside of his residence and is one of the most dedicated and hard-working people I know. He is excellent at his professional job. His employer has not a clue and as it is obviously not
affecting his career, they shouldn’t have to know.

Of course, certain positions should require drug tests. In fact, there are many companies out there that do random and frequent drug tests because their employees work with the public. Police officers, doctors, nurses, pilots, and many others who have important positions in society should be given random drug tests - especially if we are trusting them with our lives.

What is most frightening to me, but wonderful for others, is that there are ways to “pass” drug tests. Certain companies have products available that cleanse your system quickly and guarantee that within a certain time period, you will pass. I suppose that means that there are quite a few people walking around with jobs that they should never have received. Of course, they just may be people whose recreational activities don’t affect their professional activities in the least. It will always be a huge debate.

Living only thirty minutes away from Hershey, Pennsylvania, I’ve grown up around the famous Hershey chocolate. I’ve eaten so much of it, it is probably flowing through my veins - not that I mind in the least. As the years have moved forward and continue to move, different varieties of Hershey chocolate have been created. Some of the creations have been very delicious and others faded out in time. The best part of the amusement park, is that it is attached to Hershey Chocolate World. There is a ride and tour inside of it, that visitors can learn about the history of Hershey and how it became so large and famous. The ride is free and quite entertaining while also being educational. Here comes the best part - when you exit the ride and are heading back down the ramps to leave, an attendant is waiting to give you a sample of some sort of chocolate. It could be a chocolate bar, Hershey kisses, or something just as delicious.

When you leave Hershey Chocolate World, you have to exit through the gift shop. In this huge gift shop is every sort of chocolate you can imagine. Amazingly, the prices really are not bad and you can get some wonderful gifts for people. Take it from a chocolate lover, giving Hershey chocolate as a gift is such a treat. As a child, my parents would put chocolate bars in my stocking at Christmas, making Christmas morning even more delightful. In person or on various websites, there are lots of gifts available for sending to others. Even for people such as myself, who live so close to Hershey, chocolate is always a welcome gift.

Many recipes will mention using Hershey chocolate when cooking a specific dessert. Perhaps it calls for Hershey chocolate syrup or maybe candy bars, no matter what - you can’t go wrong. Hershey has that unique and perfect taste that can perfect any recipe. Some brownie mixes have Hershey’s syrup in the box for you to use, which I think is just so convenient and helpful. It shows how famous and reliable Hershey chocolate has become that large companies are pairing their products with Hershey. Like I said, you just can’t go wrong.

We moved at the end of July five years ago. The former owners of our home did not have a dock on the lake. We have a steep bank that leads to the water so we also needed to design some type of step system. We had a carpenter look at the bank and come up with a design that he could do the following spring. My husband also told me that we needed a bigger boat in order to safely fish the lake we were living on. My sister-in-law is a wonderful seamstress and I have done some sewing in the past. We decided that we would attempt to make the boat covers. Therefore, if you feel that you have a competitive hand the risk of playing is not as great as in the version known as Monte Carlo. In Monte Carlo 3 card poker everyone who plays and does not win must pay into the new pot. This can be from as little as one player to everyone at the table except the winner assuming no players folded. As long as there is more than one person playing each hand the successful pot will always be more than just the original wagers with the potential winnings growing rapidly.

As you can see it is quite easy for the pot to build in either version of 3 card poker. When a round eventually occurs with just one player showing his cards, the game returns to what is essentially the beginning and the excitement begins anew.

Of course, it can be a drag to give up caffeine entirely. It is always nice to have a pick me up in the morning, even if it is not as strong as a traditional cup of coffee. You might not know it, but there is an alternative to decaffeinated coffee. You can actually get low caffeine content coffee. It has all the taste of regular coffee, but lower caffeine content, and lower acidity. It is not artificially decaffeinated through some chemical process, but instead bred to have a lower caffeine content. To me, unless you’re really into a particular flavor, this stuff tastes much better than decaffeinated coffee. It certainly is worth a try at least!

The biggest mistake that people make when switching to decaffeinated coffee, is to switch to lower quality coffee. They will use flavor crystals, when before they used to drink brewed fresh coffee. This is a mistake, and it leads to the belief that decaffeinated coffee tastes much worse than normal coffee. Nothing could be farther from the truth!
