Airwalk Skate Shoes

I have been wearing Airwalk skate shoes since long before it was cool, but I still feel a little bit guilty sometimes. You see, I am getting older. The kids I see walking around in Vans shoes nowadays are barely 13. I have hit my 20s, and although I still skateboard from time to time, I definitely have slowed down a little bit. Now that I can go to bars and spends night out drinking and dancing, I spend much less time at the skate park. It makes me wonder if I should leave the Airwalk skate shoe to the younger generation.

The problem is that I find my Airwalk skate shoes so comfortable. The fact that I barely skate anymore makes me feel like a poser when I wear Airwalk shoes, but I cannot help it. Anything else on my feet feel constricting, uncomfortable, and awkward. Skate shoes were designed to get the best grip on a board originally. Who would have known in the beginning that they would be so comfortable. I have tried many different kinds of shoes, including cheap skate shoes, cross training shoes, hiking boots, and anything else that you can imagine. Of all of them, the Airwalk skate shoes are probably the most comfortable.

The weird thing is that if you are wearing other kinds of sneakers shoes, people don’t question you at all. If, for example, you wear basketball high top sneakers when you’re walking around town, no one stops you and asks if you play basketball. They just assume that you’re wearing what you’re want to wear, and they leave it at that.

But if you wear Airwalk skate shoes, everyone wants to know if you are a real skater just a poser. It is like you need their approval to be able to wear the shoes that you want to wear. No one believes that I wear my Airwalk skate shoes because I like to wear them. Everyone thinks that I am just doing it to try to be fashionable. It is weird to be so far out of my teens, and yet still try to meet with people’s approval. From now on, I’ll wear what I want when I want! If I want to wear skate clothes, I will. No one else has the right to tell me whether or not my Airwalk skate shoes meet with their approval. It is no one’s business what I wear but my own!
